Morfa Bay Day 4

Day 4 began with glorious sunshine which stayed with us throughout the day.

All groups did Woodland Scramble which involved walking through fresh-water streams in wetsuits and crawling under fallen trees. Everyone ended up soaked through, especially the teachers, as the children very much enjoyed splashing water all over them throughout the activity!

Miss Coffey and Mrs McIntyre's groups enjoyed searching around the beach in Rocky Shore Studies to see what sea life they could find. A very large crab was found and nearly escaped the net, terrifying some of the children!

There were some very fast times in orienteering which reflected the groups' excellent teamwork. Mrs McIntyre braved caving (even with a migraine) and cried tears of relief upon completion!

Miss Jenkins' group battled another school during team building but unfortunately were pipped to the post. They did, however, show some excellent teamwork - when they decided to listen to each other that is!

Mr Souch had a great time at archery and bikes and spent time instructing some children how to ride a bike and supporting them while they tried their best to conquer the skill.

Five o'clock came which meant that we had completed our programme of activities. We are very proud of all the children for their efforts and bravery all week. Some have conquered fears and all of them pushed themselves beyond belief.

They've all packed their suitcases and have now headed off to the disco to party the night away! Watch out kids, the Colebrook staff have got their disco pants on and are on their way!
