Thursday 12th June
A brilliant but very soggy final day of activies today, with non-stop rain from the second we woke up to around 7pm this evening. This meant that activites were very wet and we ended up very damp but the children coped brilliantly and didn't moan at all. The rain only added to the fun of the assault course for Miss Jenkins' group too.
The children (and adults) danced the night away at the disco tonight and it was so great to see them jumping around and having fun. There was also a break in the rain for some of the children to catch up on the football they had missed during the earlier downpours. We finished the evening with our final nominations of the week and we couldn't be prouder of the mature, thoughtful things the children have been saying about each other, it has been so lovely to hear.
Tomorrow morning we have a farewell session with the other schools lead by the Morfa Bay instructors where prizes will be given for the best archer, fastest assault course time and 'top boy and girl' chosen by school staff.
