Tuesday Update

First night was pretty successful, lots of sleep had and not too much hovering outside the dorms for the staff.

The children woke up refreshed for the day, ready for all 3 groups to head down to the beach for 'Rocky Shore Studies'. The  aim was to make habitats and find sea creatures to live in the habitats. The beach was fairly windy, but the children didn't seem to notice, and enjoyed a bit of freedom to explore.

After lunch, we all made our way to separate activities - two groups on the Tower for climbing and abseiling and the final group were the first to take on the challenge of the muddy assault course.

We are so proud of all the children for giving it a go and facing their fears on the tower. At least 5 children in group Amroth didn't even want to attempt to climb the ladder for abseiling, but every single child persevered, with 10 out of 12 ascending the ladder andcompleting the abseil.

Group Angle got stuck in to the mud assault course and thoroughly enjoyed the chaos.

Amroth impressed during Archery, with Genevieve scoring a bullseye on her third shot! George was the top scorer of the group with 71 out of 90.

Well done to Caitlin who was the only child in group Caldey to land her flight from the faster zip wire on two feet, it was very impressive.

We are spending this evening at the site tonight, allowing the children to have some free time before we all come together again in The Crow's Nest.
