Following another successful night, the children were refreshed and ready to go for our last day of activities.
We have not been so lucky with the weather today, I think we may have jinxed it with yesterday’s update. We’ve had terrible rain all day but have carried on regardless with all the children getting stuck into their activities.
Our final group had caving and they were brilliant. There were a few tears going in, but they all came out with smiles on their faces. It is always fun when the instructor asks the children to turn off their head torches to enjoy one of the only places where they can experience total darkness.
It was great to be outside but undercover for Bushcraft and be able to enjoy the warmth of the fire. The children enjoyed their bread and couldn’t believe it was made with only flour and water.
Mrs McIntyre and Mrs Anderson’s groups were supposed to be on the Zip-line together this afternoon but due to the weather their groups took it in turns; one stayed in the warm and the other completed the Zip wire.
The final of our groups completed the mud assault course and as you can see from the pictures, the children didn’t hold back from the mud.
Tonight’s BBQ was held inside due to the dreadful weather but was enjoyed by all.
There is a definite buzz in the air in the run up to the disco tonight and the children are looking forward to visiting the Morfa Bay shop tomorrow before our return journey.
