Morfa Bay Tuesday

Good Morning Colebrook!

Today we had really tiring day and by tiring… I really mean exhausting. We kicked the day off with a hearty breakfast, following which we were straight into our first session- sea activities. What fun we hear you say, what a great start to the day and to be honest, we have to agree with you, it’s a brilliant way to wake up the children. As always we continue to think this right up to the point of seeing all of the wetsuits hanging up in the courtyard. It’s at this point that reality hits and the prospect of getting 33 children into wetsuits in a short space of time, sends a quick shiver down our spines! But we managed after much stretching and pulling. The children were excellent and really embraced the opportunity. This year we were lucky enough to have the sea kayaks out, which was indeed something new. There was dunking aplenty of children and adults.

We saw some archery and mountain biking take place in the afternoon, accompanied by more zip line and high ropes.

The evening saw us take a hike down to beach where the children explored rock pools, guzzled ice-creams and played a variety of sport.

What was probably the most exhausting part of the day it has to be said, was the continued night time excitement from a group of hardcore girls who were determined not to sleep. The boys were ‘out like a light’

Morfa Bay Quote of the Day:

Whilst getting ready for sea activities and waiting in our wetsuits for the minibus to arrive.

“Oh my god, these wetsuits are so tight, even my bottom is suffocating!”
