School Council

Each year we hold elections for children to be a School Councillor.  This year an increased number of Year 6 children put themselves up for election to the position of Chair and Vice Chair. They stood in front of the school and gave a speech introducing themselves to everyone and stating what they felt they could bring to the role of Chair or Vice Chair.  We were very impressed with all those who stood for election.

The rest of the school then voted, in a secret ballot, for the child they wished to represent them.  Votes were then counted, ratified and the results announced.

Following this, the children in each class then voted for children to represent them on the school council.

This year the School Council are continuing to working hard to help us achieve our SILVER Eco Schools Award.  The powerpoint below was presented to the school last year.  The School Council also presented all that they had achieved throughout the year to the Governing body.

Below is a summary of what the School Council have achieved and what they will continue to focus on in the coming academic year.
